As we get set to start another week of summer camps it is important to cover a few points.
1) Goalie camps are expensive – make sure you do some research on the staff they will be helping your young goalie
2) Search goalie schools on social media, what are they showcasing in their posts? Do their goalies have good habits? Are there multiple pucks with out time for the goalie to properly follow rebounds?
3) how old is the staff working on the ice with your goalie? Experience as a goalie and a coach matter, ability to deliver messages and make corrections matter
Goaltending is a journey, habits need to be nurtured. Patience must be preached and athlete/coach connection is a must.
There are lots of good options out there, make sure you do your research and find a company that wants to help your young goalie!
